First Aid for Forest School

Practitioners

Its always a pleasure running these courses. So many dedicated Teachers & Volunteers. Some have been providing these activities for children & young adults for years - some are new to this. All courses are based upon the Health & Safety Executive First Aid at Work Emergency syllabus - but with the emphasis of caring for young people with a variety of needs and possible young-specific injuries. Training in the use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator), “the Management of Catastrophic Bleeding” is included. The course is based upon the “First Aid for Mountaineers & Instructors” (described on another page); and, as such, can be adapted to include additional aspects to enable professional use of the qualification for Mountain Leader, BCU, Snowsports etc. Courses are of 2 days duration (weekdays or weekends). Fees: £150 per person. My usual venue is: Woodland Skills Centre, Bodfari near Mold, north Wales. (As pictured on left). They have no administrative involvement in my courses, so please email me for further details & dates Whatever your requirement, appropriate training can be supplied.
